battery life is meant to be shocking!!!

From then until the battery eventually died, we played several hours of Uncharted: Golden Abyss and Little Deviants, as well as browsed the web and downloaded apps, demos and games from the PSN store. The system was periodically put on standby or left idle, but never fully powered down. We observed the following progression on the battery indicator.

1 Hour: 100%
1 Hour, 10 Minutes: 85%
2 Hours, 26 Minutes: 50%
3 Hours, 29 Minutes: 25%
4 Hours, 33 Minutes: 10% - 15%
4 Hours, 44 Minutes: Battery Depleted

playing uncharted constant for that long is quite good when you think whats on it imo

Thats pretty bad I think,these systems are made to be played at home or somewhere you can charge them!
I bought the xperia play around christmas time and the battery on that is pretty much the same...

suppose its upto personal opinion really, id imagine it will get better as updates are done and cases are released that improve battery for hardcore outside gamers

pre-ordered yesterday, i kept saying i wouldn't - i can't afford it tbh, but at the end of the day it looks and sounds awesome, and being a sony fanatic i have to have one of them. wifi model ftw btw

my nephew has pre ordered one he's traded all his old stuff in wii and games his old psp and games and few xbox and ps3 games he's got too old for

zavvi seemed to me to be the cheapest. sadly i've since cancelled due to sales in japan being so poor, i'm a massive sony fan but i can't justify spending so much on it, yet - i'll wait for a few more games and a slight price increase then go for it.

also, vita fans should check out homer45 (http://www.youtube.com/user/homer49)'s videos, he's modified the vita to play more games through remote play than sony currently support - looking at BF3 and red dead on the vita is something else..

erm, yes - you're comparing a brand new console with brand new tech against an older console with older tech (four years even ?) what were you expecting the price to be ?!
