Was over at a family members house last night sorting her network out and a few other things she was having faults with, next thing you know a parrot walks in going " hello I'm chipper". My uncle has African Grey bird and its class. Proper talking to me whilst i was working on the pc lol. It kept sitting on the chair next to me chatting and doing that whistle that people do when they've seen a fit Bird. Anyone else got a parrot as a pet ? I think they're class ! So funny to watch !

My uncle in France had one, african grey. It used to make a perfect imitation of the phone ringing then my uncle picking up and saying hello.

you know they can live up to 60 years, right. Can you afford one + vet costs? It's quite a commitment to get one, not just for Christmas etc...

Ah i know Thats very true Manu they do live a long life. I think its quite astonishing actually. I wouldnt get one cause they cost like a thousand pounds but when you see them its really fascinating. also Yeah this one was making phone noises too. Best of it is though he has a Scottish accent that he's got from my uncle. Its hilarious !

Very messy animals, love them to bits but they stink and are very messy, they're the main reasons my parents wouldnt let me have one because they've had a couple but had to give them up when i was born as they were too noisy and messy etc. And if they get worked up over something then have fun trying to calm them down, only thing you can do is get them in their cage and put a blanket over them, but that'll still do fuckall for a couple of hours.

my gf's mum has 6 of the f*ckers, at first when she had 2 it was funny, then get any more they are soo f*cking annoying!
2 of them are breeding birds that have actually never breed and they growl at me.
Coco is okay but he sometimes does this really high pitch whistle for about 10 minutes non stop!
Polly, hes a quiet little welsh parrot lol.
Charlie loves me to bits, hates everyone else, she'll come out of the cage and sit on my shoulder so shes not too bad.
Jake is a little c*nt who never stops throwing food and shouting at the dogs.

They all are messy things theres constantly food allover the floor, and when one starts getting hyper, so do the rest. Her feeding them bloody tutti fruttis and skittles wont help though!
Just my thoughts on the things lol. They do get very annoying very quick.

We used to have a Senegal parrot. It used to fly to you and sit on your shoulder when i came home from work and called its name from in my room.

It was about 2 i think then the cat destroyed it lmao. It was doing all sort of tricks like laying over and doing 'Pretty feathers'. They aren't too hard work, they just like attention and have to be cleaned daily. They make a mess with their food though.
