Engine tapping

Hello all. Iv got a 52 vtr and the engine is tapping like mad
Am I right in thinking an oil change would sort it?

Doubt it, it will be your tappets that need ajusting.

Are they easy to do or am I better taking it to a pro?

There fairly easy if you know a bit about cars, but if you havent done it before best take it to a garage, only a 20 min job :)
