What about the water? Does it blow bubbles if Yu take the rad cap off whilst running? Any brown sludge on the rad cap?
Look for a mayo like substance on the oil cap to.
Over heating usually means hg but can be a fucked radiator, thermostat, or an air lock.
Has it been slowly creeping up temp over the past few days or all of a sudden?

yeh theres brown water coming out when ive been venting the air, its been like it for a bit, i had a new rad put on in august cus it was overheating, and the rad bottle was cracked,
dow no if this has anything to do with it but it revs up on its own??

if theres brown water coming out then its defo the head gasket, how can you tell its not oil, and if you had replaced the radiator in august, it aint dirt. not just that but its overheating, i wouldn't drive it if i were you? buy a new engine

If you want to maybe last a little longer take thermostat out.

If it has overheated, more than likely fucked the head gasket if you did not turn it off straight away. The story reads that you did not turn it off straight away you turned the fans on to try and cool it down?
Sorry bro headgasket would of split

Is it? Could just be manky coolant or the wrong types or coolant been mixed. Also why would you need a new engine if its just the a blown head gasket?

Your from Dudley, what Saxo Yu drive colour etc? I live close to russles hall hospital.... Can bring it by and I can have a look if you want.
Edit - if the waters brown it doesn't mean hg has gone. Brown in water can mean rust build up, especially if you used any kind of flushing agent. You need to look for oil in the water its easy to spot.

Yup. I had it when I freshly fitted my newly skimmed head. You can see oil in water as its like oil on the floor with all different colors.
