Looked but couldn't see a thread, Indian government complaining about the Xmas special, saying it demoralises their country blah blah
I think it's pathetic, why does everyone need to complain, tv will be boring as fuck soon :(
Thoughts?

I'd complain as well, it was a pretty shitty episode tbf.
jks.
IMO different cultures don't follow the "humour" put across by the guys on Top Gear, which means they will get offended at what we could find funny.

To those who didnt get the "Top Gear Special" Its the fact that all the way they travelled, what they went through in India etc. The cars are the heros and what is actually representing Britian, not the presenters themselves laughing about.

There was nothing offensive in that episode. Crying over nothing.

the main thing that offends about top gear is its predictability and reliance on the same old jokes; stop me if youve heard this one...
a top gear challenge, they all buy a car for £x. First one to show up parks the car and talks a bit about it. Then the next person to arrive crashes into the back of it. Repeat ad nauseum.

Is this serious? I could see someone making this up just get people going.
Not accusing the OP like, just don't understand why it'd be offensive.

I know what you mean, it's a pretty impressive journey.

Google it. It's very true.
Sidenote; I may be sad, but I quite enjoy the same old familiar jokes.

Yeah it's defo true, been on news
Jokes about getting the shits and so on, just looking for an argument IMO, it's a comedy based show, if the cant take a little light hearted fun they shouldn't have allowed it to be filmed there!
I agree though, it wasn't one of the better episodes, I was quite disappointed :n:

Yeah, I personally like watching it, but the obviously fixed situations really annoy me! Its just not funny at all when you can second guess whats going to happen, and the fact the presenters know damn well but act all suprised.

i like that jezza cunt, but hes quite anti anything thats not conservative, slagging strikes, hitting out at labour, im not one for politics, but if it was trevor mcdonald had done that, there would be outrage, (biggup my main man trevo)

Nah, that's just the Daily Mail. Top Gear generates tens of millions in profit worldwide, like they're gonna shut it down.

I don't get what all the fuss is about, I didn't see anything offensive in that episode at all. I don't think its possible for Top Gear (especially Jezza) to say or do anything now without been accused of something, they're just been used as scape goats now and its just pathetic.
I think they should take a year off from the show tbh let all this crap tale away and come up with some fresh ideas.
