I recently polished my bonnet with some stuff that was slightly abbrasive, n then waxed it. But i noticed after that its left smear marks in the light.
When its out of the light it looks fine, so i know i havn't gone too far down.
Is there anything i can use to sort this out?
Sorry but its quite hard to explain.

Cheers

Yeah I get that all the time after sticking the wax on! As Nax says, just use some scratch x. I found using a slightly damp towel works aswell.

Nice one, sounds like you had fine marring - this can be caused by poor quality polishes with abrasives that don't break down as you use them, or from any kind of friction drag on the paint (clay bar with not enough lube, even wong kind of towels, etc). Glad it's now looking good!

You could say I've had a fair bit of experience with black cars and scratches! Only yesterday I took out some key damage from a solid black LCR, and today I had fun on the bonnet of another black Leon. I've also posted other threads this week on defect removal on a 350Z and another black LCR. What I need to know though, is how bad your defects are, so could you start a new thread with some pics of the defects and I'll post recommendations for products and methods (this will also help others with similar problems). :)
