iv ordered part of an exhaust, and its getting delivered by courier, they gave me a tracking number and it said its been collected, although the item said it may take 4-6 days, anyway, i shall be out for the next few days, so what would happen if he comes tomorrow and i'm not in, does it work the same was as the royal mail would, or do you have to arrange a new date for re-delivery? obviously i will try and wait in in case it does come but knowing my luck i won't be in?

Some have a number you can phone and request another delivery, others you can go to their depot to pick it up.

Leave a note on the door saying please deliver to "insert village or nearest" post office.. Then you go there when you are home and pick it up..

ParcelForce always drop stuff off at my mums post office, and people just come and pick it up at the end of the day

my farm doesnt have a post office, good shout though, its getting delivered through despatch bay, never heard of them so might just leave a note on the door, would they do that though? like would they leave it at royal mail sorting office, (if i ask them to) or can i ask them to leave it with a neighbour?

parcelforce will drop at a local post office but I very much doubt any other courier will. Phone them up and arrange a delivery for a date you are actually in or an address where someone else is home.
