Just wondered what people think happens when u die, are u dead forever do u come back or what. Do people worry about it etc

You've put in 50 years of hard work paying your tax and NI. You die and the government tax your savings and you have to pay for your own funeral.

Part of me thinks you start life again as a baby in the similar life style as you just lived but i mostly believe you're 6ft deep in a mdf veneered box and forgotten about after 18 months. Worm food tbh.

People that believe in heaven, reincarnation etc can think what they like if it helps them through their life. But ultimately you die and become part of the earth.

The nutrients that your body provides to the Earth will be reused by wildlife and plants so I suppose a part of you lives on but you won't be any wiser.

it might sound horrible or sadistic, but i'd like to think nothing happens and you really do go forever, which is good for me, since i dont believe in all this 'crossing over' bullshit or ghosts or anything like that

why i'd like to think that, is because at least then you know there is a definite way out, if it ever got to a point where you were really depressed, or really hated your life then you could end it - without having to carry on in some other world thinking back to what you should've changed or what you should've done

I'd hate to be old + have dementia or put in a home. I think i'd rather die. I honestly don't know if i would like to find out how i die and what date. I'm hoping a good old age and naturally in my sleep.

I think your body is ovioulsy worm food. Like peole say your live on in your memory. The human brain is so powerful and we yet havent got to its true potential like that statistic (we only use 10%) or somthing. I would like to believe that this will power never to die would manifest and you carry on through the whole of enternity just a floating mass of thoughts ect... oh, i stand corrected! but still you can kinda see where im coming from! Im sure the human brain can be used to a greater extent we just havent found out how yet! If some drug make you hallucinate then im sure there is a drug that will increase your 'intelligence' to some greater degree so to speak!

I've never been knocked out but I've been to sleep a few times.

Can anyone actually remember 'going to sleep', as in, what was the last memory you had last night? Same sort of thing but you ain't coming back.

So as I don't go painfully then I'll be happy, well I won't because when you're dead you can't be happy but you get what I mean.

I think something is there after death. When i was in hospital with swine flu a couple of years ago (on life support) I had a few dead members of my family tell me it was time to go.

Now I don't know if it was my brain playing tricks on me or if it was the drug's but it seemed too detailed. But yeah I think there is something but Bollox to that heaven and hell shit.

i think death being compared to your unconcious mind is a pretty good guess. Its got to be like that. I got knocked out once, through brut force of a metal bar. Once i was out cold i was out.... End of. Its not like i had an out of body experience, looked down at my blood stained corpse and went " ooh, you got knocked the fuck out ! " ..... If i died that night i wouldnt be any wiser.

Don't believe in life after death personally, you're either buried 6ft deep and left to rot, or you're burnt to ashes, might be a miserable way of looking at it but it's realistic

I worry about getting old (losing mind, losing the ability to walk/talk/function etc) and it does get a bit scary when you get into deep thought about how much you miss after you die, you're gone forever, 10/100/10,000/ 1,000,000,000 years ahead, you're not going to see them
