No doubt I'll get the usual Saxp piss take but anyway.
Does anyone have any weird happenings regularly?
We have a DVD player in our bedroom. It turns off after inactivity. Now the weird bit. Quite regularly we come up stairs and hear the DVD player boot up. We know it's booting up because it's easily loud enough to hear and it says "Starting Up" on the display.
On top of that its happening 2 or 3 times a week. On top of this, the remote has no batteries in it so it's not a dodgy remote.
I'm at the point of recording when I enter the room just to get it on video.
Anybody else have any weird going ons at home?

could be a loose wire in the dvd player, used to do it in my brothers room with his stereo youd step on his floor and the thing would turn on, but one night he walked up to his room (in the attic) and the doors in the walls (for storage) flew open and his stereo came on, he got down to sets of stairs in about 5 seconds didnt sleep in his room for about 2 weeks i think :P

My TV regularly turns itself on, not sure why, but I doubt it's ghosts.
Did have my dad convinced once something was going on when I lived at home, his Sky+ box would change channel or turn off and on.
Didn't have the heart to tell him it was the Sky+ remote for my box doing the work... :D

We have a DVD player in our bedroom.
Correction: you have a malfunction DVD, nothing weird about it. I had one that would open and close randomly, took it back to the shop and forgot about it.

I was taking a load of pictures in my house once when I got my new camera lens, just randomly taking pictures and on one of them there is a full blown ghost stood in the doorway. It really freaked me out. I sent the pic off to some universities to investigate.

My grandma lives in an old house, there are always weird noises but all have explinatikns once looked into. Two spring to mind:
- Walking into the house while she was away, and i was walking past the back door into the kitchen and the back door bell starts going off like crazy. I shit my self and ran out of the house quicker than ever. Turn out the water seal had deteriated and allowed water into the connections.
- the other month i stayed over due to pickeys moving into the field next door, watching a bit of v and heard this strange whisteling noise. Then again when i was going to sleep. This happened at random times thoughout the week. Found out it was the boiler diverter valve/motor making the noise.

Kettle has boiled itself once before, a while back.
The day my nan died, I was there at her home next to her as she took her last breath, that was weird in itself for me because I have never experienced anything like that before, it's not nice. Anyway, a few hours later I came home, upset of course, went into the bathroom and the light flickered, could be anything I guess but the same happened two weeks later on the day of the funeral and then a year later, on the anniversary of her death.

Manu, do you often find yourself tired?
I'm just wondering if you put alot of effort into being a prick or if it's just a natural thing?

My dads old place of work head a works unit... Part of it was a open mezzamine floor. His not scaredof ghosts but he was working late at night and swore he herd foot steps.
the following week I took my car there for some work. He had all the tools there. We finished chaining a suspension bush iirc and was packing up. We both herd foot steps and we froze and looked at each other. With that we herd something like a brush fall over and made a wooden noise. We shat our self (very late at night and no one around) kicked the tools to one side and went home.
Monday morning he rings to say it was a brush... Turns out the builder who built the unit had a heart attack and died in the tea room which ironicly was up on the open mezamine floor

Only got 2 myself:
1) I was about 17, left my bedroom and as i looked to where I was going on the landing, at the top of the stairs right in front of me I saw a concrete coloured old woman figure, I had a rush of anxiety, blinked and then she was gone.
About a week later I mentioned it to me mam who after asking what she looked like showed me a picture of the woman in colour, it was my dad's grandma who died 2 years before I was born. She died 45 miles away from where it happened too.
2) Within 2 weeks of living at my new flat 2 years ago I'd had a glass of coke(soft drink), put it on the next seat to me (leather sofa), forgot about it and went to bed.
Next morning I go back into that room to see the glass in the same spot but on it's side when all the flat windows/doors were shut and balcony door was locked.
I'm not superstitious, and until something 'supernatural' harms me im passive of it all.

3am and the fire alarms start going off, I get out of bed thinking theres a fire - nothing to be seen, no heat or smoke. Fire alarms are wired into the mains so it cant be a duff battery causing it. 10 minutes later same thing happens and I cant reset them so have to wait for them to go off, was the date of my late grandads birthday. Its never done it since
