seperate the exhaust, slide clamp over, then put exhaust back together, tighten clamp.
if it still doesnt work, make sure you have bought the right size :)

thats the wrong one, for a saxo/106 one anyway you need an olive type clamp, 2 bolts and comes in 2 halves...

i used an olive clamp but it wouldnt tighten the backbox, the centre pipe was about a centimetre larger than the back box, so it wouldnt touch it, i used the clamps i was ona about, i bought it from a scrappy, and was almost brand new and took the bracket that it was attached to, i just pried them open a bit wider with pliers then it was fine. lol was a heat of the moment post because couldnt figure it out, then common sense kicked in

it's suppose to be slightly larger cause the backbox sits inside the recess slightly

done the exhaust, but car seems quite loud, iv tried to pinpoint it on all the joins, cant feel any gases escaping so think there ok, sounds like its more from the engine end, than the exhaust? what can this be? manifold gaskets or downpipe etc, what would necessarily make the engine or engine bay more loud?

A build up of carbon deposit's in the exhuast.
A new exhuast doesnt have all this so the sound increase as that sut/coke obsorbes sound
