So long as you go to pinnochios, and the casino - you'll enjoy it!

camping am nurburgring is like 12euro's a night.
a dude called Eddie runs an apartment block which is pretty cheap and right by adenau bridge if you'd rather not camp.

I can't wait to go again this summer!

Theres quite a few lads from Ashford that are probably going again too.

Is the price justifiable?

The price of the whole trip you mean?

Yeah, From what I figured out, from where I stay in Scotland to there, hotel 2 nights, round it a few times and back on the monday, nearly 800quid, alot of that is fuel

yeah thats quite a lot.

I've been for like 8 days, so that made it more worth the cash, and we camped.

Plus living in scotland would require at least an extra 2 tanks of petrol at least? from dunkirk(sp?) it takes around 1 full tank at just under 30mpg to get to the ring.

In honesty, unless youre driving the track, theres not loads to do - some cool back roads, and the museum etc, but both can be done in 2 days really, we spent a lot of time drinking / eating pinnochios.

It's a good laugh if theres a decent bunch of people going though.

I'm planning on going this year with people from college. can't think of a better way to spend our student loans on.

tbh, I don't think the ring is going to see many more years as the amount of pressure on the whole being green shite.

As Ashleyp says, Pinnochios for a pizza, or Pistenklaus for a steak = Win.

Eddie's hotel (Hotel An Der Nordschleife) is a great place to stay too, and if you're on one of the forward facing rooms, waking up to be able to see the track is amazing.

Drew, its one of things you just 'have to do'.

Its pretty expensive yeah but then again its motorsport - everything costs. Fuel, general wear and tear getting there, extra wear and tear on track, the laps themselves, accomodation etc.

Definately worth it though, just make sure you decide on a week/weekend when the track is open to the public. I've read on Pistonheads that only half the calendar is being released this early. Also the number of public evening sessions has dropped in favour of private testing an what not :n:

Even though he can't drive yet I'm so glad i took my wee bro when i did. Rumours on the internet make the place sound like the owners really are trying their best to destroy the place
