slightly off topic
but,
i hate the older type that work in a garage and when you go in with your car for say tyres or an MOT or something simple they instantly take a disliking to you because your car is lowered.
i went to one garage to get two new front tyres and the tracking done (i had done suspension work so it needed adjusting slightly)
and he gave me a massive rant about how lowering the car is whats caused it to alter the tracking and scrub your tyres off blah blah blah.
then a young lad come over and just said yeah whack it on the ramp ill sort it for you now and told the old guy to go make a brew lol.
thats my rant over.

A swift commute to and from work my friend, I must be bypassing the bellends lol.
Thats the best way! :D
When i'm back home, we spend quite a bit of time skating in MK, even just getting from place to place I seem to see more pricks in hatchbacks than any other town / city i've been too lol.

Mate I work in Aylesbury, Assistant Branch Manager at Enterprise, and work in Brent as a Police Officer.
From the sounds of it, I am thankful I haven't seen the MK cruise..although I have heard some "lovely" things about it.
Ah sorry my mistake. Fair play for doing the Police thing.
The Cruise was good before kids in crap cars started to go down there. Replaced car enthusiasts with cunts!

I like it when you talk to some mechanic in a garage who starts wittering on like he knows it all and you're just sat there going "have you any idea how much shit you're talking? You're such a douche"

I get this alot about de-cat the other day i went to get some gaskets and clamps from the local motor spares place and the lad behind the counter was asking me what exhaust i had and i said i had the supersprint with the de-cat and 421 manifold. By this time there was some middle age lady stood behind me and started ranting on about how i was killing the artic environment with a de catted exhaust , and that im a criminal breaking the law :fcuk: lol i simply laughed and said " ARTIC ..... what the hell are you going on about , I dont have nothing against polar bears its my car my choice and i dont think your ment to listen to random peoples conversations "
Honestly i love polar bears guys

Went to a garage to get some tyres fitted to my sisters camper. Her and her BF were going to europe so wanted a bigger profile to increase the circumference and reduce fuel consumption (effectively decreases FD). Tyre man tells me it won't make a difference to speed, flatly refuses to believe anything I tell him and he reminds me that he's the expert.

Diesel tuning boxes are common, plenty on ebay. Some are duffers but if you can get hold of a half-decent one such as DTUK or TDI-Tuning they do actually increase the BHP of your car.
It works like a generic chip, making the ECU squirt more fuel into the cylinders to up the power. Nowhere near as good as a custom remap but they are a quick, easy fix for more power on your diesel. My mate had a plug-in tuning box on his Astra CDTi 150. After a quick, simple installation my Civic Type R had trouble keeping up.

It's true, plenty of tdi owners tend to use one untill they bother to get it their car mapped.

Yes they add more fuel but they don't add more air, so you're just over fueling and kicking out more black smoke.

I just went to see a 51 plate fiat punto and the guy that owned it said it could do with the plugs and points being done and that we should get the carb set up properly. And apparently its impossible to weld an exhaust as the metals too thick.
