Worth a look, looks alright in the pictures and low milage. For 700 notes it seems decent :y:

looks like a steal......but make sure u dont buy a shitbox that wont pass the MOT

doesnt it sound a little strange how he spent the money doing all this:
Stuff done for mot was :

2 bottom balljoints
P/S Drive shaft
Brake load sensing valve un seized
Radius arm bearings done in axle
re wired front fogs as one had open circuit
and a new powersteering pump cuz the old one was acting up

then ran out of money to put it through a test? he could have got a cheap test done for £40

I'd be carefull, you dont wana get scammed

yeah that's the bit i didn't understand cause he could make a fair bit of the car if it was mot'd

That would probably be the better buy out the 2, but without an MOT i wouldn't be paying the asking price.

what would you say tops for that one?

I would be trying at 600 as a start and going no more than 700. Even at that its still alot for a Saxo with no MOT. But it looks decent enough.

Has he had it in for an MOT seeing as he's sorted some bits that he thinks is all it needs doing??

I was thinking of starting at 500 lol, not from what he has told me

I'd say at a guess that if he spent all the money on it and not Mot'd it, its either a complete rustbucket underneath or the back axle is on it's way out

I'm pretty sure there will be something expensive in the way of it passing an mot though

Why not go and view it??

Seems like a good price, if it has all the parts listed then you could break it for alot more than 650. Get it bought.

i am willing to travel I just wanted to know what more experienced saxo drivers though of if mileage/mod wise

Nik_L

Mileage is below average. Mods wise it seems decent enough and as said, worth the asking price alone in parts.

But it also said it needs some work. Would you be willing to do the work??

Go view it. Not all cheap Saxos are bad. ;)

I'd go for the 2nd one..first seems a bit iffy tbh.

But without MOt it's only worth the tax it has left (Not worth much) plus scrap money. Ask to see the fail sheet and the reciepts for parts and/or labour for the work carried out for the MOT. Then check the rear beam and the headgasket giveaway signs. Without MOT cars are worth fuckall, could buy a shitbox for £700 with no MOT then spend the same amount getting parts and labour on getting it through a est, plus the inconvenience of not being able to drive the car you've just bought.
