just as one problem gets sorted another rears its ugly head. this has me baffled, probs because my knowledge is crap lol, when driving along and i accelerate my car wants to turn left constantly (like torque steer, except in a 1.1 i imagine torque is an all time low lol) this doesnt happen when no throttle on. also when turning i have a heavy clunking noise its doesnt matter which way i turn, however it stops again when theirs no throttle on. could it be the driveshaft, or the fact the power steering packed up for some reason?? oh while i'm here is there an easy way to access the heater matrix as im driving around looking like an eskimo atm, not a good look lol. thanks guys :clapping:

Pulling on acceleration - could be tracking's out.. or the wishbone bottom ball joint has excessive play.

Clunking whilst turning - I would of said top mounts / the bolt on the steering rack .. but you said it goe's when you let go of the accelerator pedal.. so Most likely driveshafts.

Not played around with heater matrix's etc, so can't help you on that one.

thanks i'll book it in to have tracking done as i havent done it since having the car, however saying that, i had some work done on the car over xmas and remember finding 2 bolts in the passenger side foot well and remember there being 2 bolts for the wishbone down under the carpet so il check that :). as for the top mountis it a difficult job to undertake yourself or is it cheap enough to get a professional in?? i know for a fact i wouldnt know where to start on the driveshaft so ill leave that one alone lol. no worrys on the matrix u helped a load with what u given me cheers :)

Okay, them 2 bolt's wouldn't cause the car to pull to the left under acceleration. Sometime's they can cure knocking over bumps..

but it's the ball joint what the whole suspension strut sit's on.. if that goe's knackered, then it can cause the car to pull to one side.

Top mounts are what goe's on top of the spring/damper and fixes the strut to the car.. And they have a bearing on them as obviously they turn. When they're dried and old.. thats when 'clunking' starts.

Pretty simple to do yourself, although it would mean taking the struts off.. then taking the springs off.. But wouldn't be a bad thing, as means you can check the driveshafts too..
