Well its been nearly a year i have had the vts and its not really been given the same love as the vtr mainly due to not having the time. The paint work is in pretty bad nick as it appears the previous owner cleaned it with a mixture of brillo pads, gravel and broken glass. Pretty swirled and some scratches in a few places.

So onwards with the clean, i didnt get before pics which i regret now, i started with a double wash of the car with my meguiars lambs ear wash mitt using the 2 bucket technique and mucho rinsage.

I then dried the car down and proceeded to give it some clay barring love. It had a quick clay bar at FCS but not anywhere near as thorough as i like.

I then moved onto treating the swirl marks and scratches by hand with meguiars scratch x. Worked really well on light swirls but not so well on the scratches. Time to invest in some proper cutting stuff and a buffer i think.

So car was scratch x'd and i moved onto polishing. By this point i was sweating all over the car so i only applied one layer of meguiars tech wax before taking the pics and heading to the pub.
