getting through MOT depends on where the CAT is on your car, if its in the manifold (MK2) then any full system will be fine. If its MK1 and under the car then you'll need a CAT back system.

Stainless steel systems, Piper, Magnex and poss a few others but I can't think of any off the top of my head

all depends on your budget and what style tail pipe you want. but as above to getting through a m.o.t regarding the cat.

janspeed 4-1 with sports cat (http://www.kamracing.co.uk/citroen/citroen-saxo/saxo-exhaust/exhaust-manifold/janspeed-4-2-1-exhaust-manifold-sports-cat-saxo-vtr-00-03.html) and a stainless straight through KR System (http://www.kamracing.co.uk/citroen/citroen-saxo/saxo-exhaust/full-exhaust-systems/kam-racing-supersprint-race-system-citroen-saxo.html) would work

ye sorry iv got the mk2 so cat is on manifold.
Is it illegal to remove the silencer, I ask as iv brought another saxo vtr mk2 for parts and its got a 4-2-1 manifold on it and no silencer, i know its illegal to remove the cat so I wont be able to have the whole system but wondering if i can have the back box and centre pipe with no silencer??

ok will it go through the MOT with a silencer removed as i thought it may have increased emissions?

only removing the cat will your emissions be affected
