My VTS is being very wierd since i changed the gearbox it never starts first time! The fuel pump primes and all sensors have been cleaned along with new coolant, oil, oil filter and petrol filter. The car takes ages to start sometimes it takes 3 attempts sometimes it take 50!
The car always catches when the key is turned but cuts out literally straight away and on the odd occasion it carries on running. the problem is getting worse and its over-fuelling as it stinks of petrol and is doing less than 20mpg. It backfires alot and pops an insane amount on deceleration. All the earth pints are connected at some point. When the car does start it runs smooth and nice so i really am stumped any help urgently needed!

Changing the gearbox involves removing the starter motor. Check this?

Regards to running trouble, running rich, injector fault? Maybe a temp sensor if its running like a bag of shite?

Change the whole throttlebody unit and see how it goes.

I didnt think it could be the starter motor tho because it does actually start the car and turn it over.
it runs ok wen its started just drinking way too much petrol! maybe because of the air temp sensor saying the airs colder than it is?
