Hi all. need help.
Ive got a 1.4 furio/vtr it starts up ok sometimes other times the rev's jump straight up to about 2500 -3000 rpm. when it starts ok as soon as you touch the throttle it rises to 2500 - 3000 rpm and stays there. now if you put a load on, raise clutch in gear you can get the revs to drop and stay about 1000 rpm untill you touch the throttle again.
Then once warm if you slow down quickly and dip the clutch the engine cuts outs, if you manage to keep the engine running it struggles to idle and nearly cuts out.
Any ideas?

as above. the cutting out would suggest the ICV. iirc the MAF sensor would cause a bogging down.

best to get the resistance values and test them. no point in replacing thigs all willy nilly.

I'd go for icv, clean/replace

when my map sensor was unplugged the car revved up fine but idle was effected. kept rising and dropping continuously in a loop and would cut out.
