right broke my gearbox yesterday so went scrap yard got a box off a 106 1.1 as thats all they had or a vtr box that had no reverse, so i changed the box and used my saxo vtr starter motor bolted it in 1 of the bolts that goes though gearbox to starter wouldnt bite its not long enough the rest tightened up turned it over starter isnt engaging properly, my question is do i need a 106 starter instead of a saxo vtr one???
thanks

Mybe the bolt off the 106 was longer & you could`ve used that mate.
