I experimented with a Lexus light and painted the inside black, I think it came out pretty well tbh.

tint your standards black. leave lexus lights for the lexus , u dont see lexus's driving with saxo rear lights do u ?, also smoked jewels would suit aswell.

lexus lights are terrible when non modified, now look at all that smudged glue :/ Could have bought black ones in the first place.

You could also think of putting the badges back on, dispose of the suicidal furry and make a better choice of tyres next time you change them. Nexens are not great, especially when fitted the wrong way round.

as opposed to

you car must handle like shit when it rains, because of the tyre being fitted upside down, the water goes back in the thread and causes aquaplaning by lifting the tyre up. And uneven tyres on top of that, dear oh dear...Get it sorted before you end up doing a 180.

you could also remove them rusty things on your reg plate and fit new caps on top, that's about 60p.

Mate try spraying the chrome rings around the actual lights inside black and see how that looks, IMO it's the chrome that makes them look tacky, then maybe spray tint the outside too... might look good. :)

indeed.

Especially with the current weather. Like I explained to you: When that type of tyre is fitted upside down, you basically lose contact with the ground as soon as there's some water. I can guarantee you won't have much worries about aesthetics when you wrap you car around a tree. Or around someone else's for that matter.

And if you don't do it, it will prove that you put looks before safety. Do your passengers know you could lose control of your car at any moment?

The other tip was: put your badges back on. Why? Because otherwise you're gonna end up with rust in your boot. Your rear lights will become a problem when the broken seal also allows water to get through and forms condensation inside. It will look ugly.

these lights are not even designed to be prised open in the first place, let alone twice. That's a lot of wasted effort and money. Send me £20 + postage and I'll send you some unmolested black lexus.

good spot that Manu! Defo needs sorting asap, just swap it with the other rear wheel (aslong as that isn't rotational too!)

But nah, not really keen on the lights...but its your car!! :)

Edit: other rear is on backwards too....eeek!!

That's pretty much what he should do asap. Should also buy another nexen to match as all saxo drivers know: the rear end can be twitchy, even more so with mismatched tyres that are mounted upside down.

Then in second I really would sort out those rusty screws, that's normally under a quid from any car parts shop.

basic stuff tbh. there is even arrows on the sidewalls to tell you which way round they go. as if you cant tell from the tread...

scary thought aint it, mine is abit twitchy anyway with tyres facing the right way! almost lost the back end a few times and have ended up facing the wrong way on a roundabout....hairy moments!!!

had it once myself, lost it while entering a roundabout after a deep puddle. Luckily enough, no damage but I won't buy budget tyres ever again. It goes so quick you don't even have time to be scared.

Lexus light was an experiment with one I got on an old saxo. Also holes from badges will be filled when car gets painted. I haven't passed my test yet so its not even on the road*

Manu

ah, good man. Another tip, don't fill the holes, get them welded (otherwise it will crack)
