View Full Version : Wheels and Spacers Problems

As some will know I bought some superleggeras the other day....

Thought i'd try to fit them this morning, however the spacers I currently have on my TD Monza's won't fit into the OZ wheel as the lip is too big therefore won't sit flush against the wheel.

But with the spacers I got with the wheels won't fit over the hub on the rear drum. They will however fit on the front hubs. Any suggestions? I don't really want to use the spacers I got with the wheels as the bolts I have aren't really long enough. OZ spacers are 25mm and the TD ones are 20mm.

Would I be ok to just sand down the lip on my TD spacers so they fit into the wheel or is that just silly?

OZ Spacers are the silver ones, TD spacers are red.

I wouldn't sand the lip you will probably end up with the wheel shaking about because it wont be dead centred anymore

I guess sanding them down is out then...any other suggestions people? :)

:bump: would buying hubcentric spacers work? But if I do will I come across the same problem as above?

I don't really understand why the oz spacers will fit over the front hubs but not the rears? im sure saxo hubs are the same size all round?

Just had a thought....I have 206 GTi brakes on the front.....makes me think that I'll need a VT rear beam to make them fit!

nope but as above, remembered that I have 206 GTi brakes on the front, guess they are different size than standard size hub? Guess i'm gonna have to take both wheels off tomorrow and have another look lol. Bet ive done something stupid haha
