Who on here has been or know of anyone that have been there, recommend it? What did you do there?

I know someone who went, advised me not to go because it's really only for the rich people. He said dress codes there are quite strict and common etc.

Went there once to drop my boss(was a driver/chauffeur back then). Don't remember much apart from the other wordly prices for a can of coke / sandwich / etc. everything looks posh, cars, people, you name it. Of course I did a couple of laps.

I was really young when I went but they were preparing for the F1! Awesome atmosphere!

Would like to go again now I'm old enough to go in the casino's and appreciate all the beautiful women! :y:

I went agesss ago, two days after the F1. Personally I wouldn't stay in monaco itself. you're better off staying in Nice and then popping over to monaco for a day/evening.

My flat mate went last summer, and said it was awesome - mainly to see how the other half live!

Dont think theres much you can do other than sight see unless youre rich though. i'm sure 5.6m would solve that ;) lol

Cant remember how long they stayed there for though, him and a few mates went camping all over france / belgium / germany / italy for about a month, and i think they camped somwhere ouside of monaco then went into the city / rich bit for a day or so.

Cant go in my sandles with white socks, my vest and some random baby blue shorts?

The hotels dont seem TOO over priced, and I would have thought everything would be priced in proportion, so coke wouldnt be like £8 a can?

Was looking at Nice too, could be a good idea, was thinking 2 nights or something there.

I bet its expensive during the F1 isnt it?

haha yeh my $5.6 dollars can be collected and spent there.

Thats the reason id like to go as well, just see what its like have a few meals and thats about it. Just hope it isn't like stupidly expensive restaurants everywhere and end up living on crisps!

Ive been and it was good but we stayed in saint tropez. Also its not that badly priced if you stay off the main cafes/restaurants and go to the back street places. Dress up if you want to get into places at night, but in the day anything goes really as long as you dont look like a tramp

You'll get bored quickly, as I remember the majority of the beaches were private. You can sort of walk around and that's about it. Forget seeing how the rich live, you'll see a few old hags sporting their latest plastic surgery with poodles walking around and the odd posh car, but it's more a tourist attraction than anything - unless it's during the F1. In which case it just $ $ $ $ 's everywhere.

It's pretty expensive before and during the F1 but the prices drop pretty quickly after that.
