Hi can anyone help I've noticed a quite loud clicking noise. It think it's coming from the front driver's side wheel. It louder when turning at low speeds. Just been on tesco car park going round in circle's lol got few funny looks. Also I don't no if this is related but I have also noticed when driving above 40 then brake there is alot of vibration felt on the steering wheel and on the pedal. Could it be the driveshaft what sholud I look for thanks.

It sounds like either your driveshaft, they wear on the inner/outer cv joint.Have you got any noises when you put the steering on full lock.(stationery)?

Look underneath your car where the driveshaft goes from the wheel to engine/gearbox.At each end there will be a rubber boot check that theres no splits at either end.Inside these boots is grease & if its allowed to escape then thats when wear happens in the cv joints.

Had a quick look the boot as not split, but some grease as come out of the end. The boot must be loose. Anyone no how much it cost to repair. Also anyone no which shaft I will need tapered or flat. It's a w reg 2000 vtr. Looks like it's got the wrong shaft on cus it's got abs ring on the shaft.

It depends on how much grease has come out, because if to much has ecsaped then its cheaper to replace the whole shaft. As for shafts i`m not sure which you`ll need mate.
