Had an idea in my head about getting some 15" 7j rims..but i would want the tyres stretched..
Whats the best tyre to stretch over a 7j?
A mate of mine has stretched 175/45/15's but in my opinion where the tyre is stretched on a low profile the tyres look way too thin.. So was looking at 175/50/15 but not sure what tyres would stretch the best as it isnt a very low profile so may buldge out more which is not what i want lol
Thanks in advance!

standard size for the average 7" wheel is 205.
id reccomend 2 sizes below and go for a 185.

I thought the standard for 7j was 195? Which is why everyone with 7j's put the usual 195/45/15 on and they sit flush?
My mate has 7j and has stretched it on 175 and the stretch is perfect on his fronts..
But on his rears on a different make of tyre the stretch isnt very good at all
What i mean is what make tyre should i go for, ill defo be going for 175 for the stretch, just not sure what profile or make tyre would stretch the best!

Have you considered 165/45/15 or 165/50/15?

Thanks for the links!
If i did go 165 it would be the 50 profile to compensate for the silly stretch which makes the tyre thinner so to speak..
165 may be too much stretch though..i would like a nice stretch which i can still drive nicely on and if i ever needed to take a corner fast (which hopefully i shouldnt lol) then i dont have a worry about tyres popping or slipping kind of thing..if that makes sense lol

Id go for 165's i've ran 185's on a 7" rim and theres no stretch at all realy. I've had loads of different size on different size wheels and for 8's id go for 175's and 7's 165's plus u can get some nice bridgestone pontenza's and get afew extra scene points!
<--- thats silly stretch 165/50/15 on a 8" rims ;)

2 tyres were bridgestone, 165/50/15's, they streched quite good.
The other 2 were federal fz1 165/50/15's, same size tyre on same width rim, but less stretch.
Different brands will strech different but out of them lensos I sold you the bridgestones streched much better.

Yeh I found thay my bridgestones sretched better than the nankang!
Also you get a different look if the tyre has a rim protector bit on :) I've got some pictures of how that looks as the nankang tyre I was rolling on had that :)
