Ask Damo Leckie, he went a few weeks ago with Claire.

http://www.worldairportguides.com/images/map-cdg.gif - this shows you whereabouts both airports are in relation to the city centre - quite a way out.

Areke is right about Disneyland; the best way to get there would be the Métro (as is the case for most things in Paris) So i wouldn't worry too much about getting a hotel that's very central, as most things are easily accessible.

Try this link (http://www.expedia.co.uk)

It may not be the cheapest, but you can book flights and hotel as one deal.

Like most major cities, both airports are not too close to the city centre - think about London Heathrow or Gatwick. Both airports are about the same distance away, with Orly (South of the centre) being the budget airline's favourite, Charles De Gaulle (North of the centre) being the bigger one that BA and Virgin tend to use.

There is a Métro link from CDG, I can't find one from Orly but I imagine there is one. You could of course get a taxi but it would probably cost you a bit!

I booked our France trip with Driveline. (http://www.driveline.co.uk/)

It cost around £500 and that's including the Eurostar from London Waterloo to Gare du Nord (and back), two nights in a 4-star hotel within a ten minute walk of the Arc de Triomphe. We didn't want to stay right in the centre because it was too busy and is just like London so we stayed about ten minutes out of main centre Paris.

We also went on one of the hotels excursions and that was superb. For £260 (for the both of us), it included a mini-bus from the hotel to the Eiffel Tower. It then included a three course meal including a bottle of wine and a bottle of champagne at Altitude 90/95 (First floor restaurant). We then got taken from the Eiffel Tower to the Moulin Rouge show where the two entry tickets and a free bottle of champagne were included. We then got the mini-bus back to the hotel. Not bad if you ask me. But... Paris is sooo bloody expensive. I think I spent the best part of £1k in total.

Sounds good Damo. I was wanting to take my girlfriend somewhere special for her 21st in December, but don't think i can afford Paris now you just said that 1k in total. Haha.

Sorry for hi-jack Leckie.

Well obviously there are cheaper places but the difference between a three star and four star hotel was quite immense. I didn't want to be staying in any old hotel.

And... we also got to watch England knocked out of the World Cup and were also amongst the celebrations when France knocked Brazil out.
