Gate is decent for a bit of indoor clubs and their are some very decent places to eat around the gat, obviously the quayside is where the main pubs are
uncle leeroy will no doubt be here to tell you though, hes a taxi driver down there so you have to ring him for a taxi ;)

The gate is pretty good.
I down quite a bit, used to live down that way so it's one of my favourites for a quick, cheap weekend away.
If we get the train down we get off the train about 2ish and go straight to Indigo @ the Gate for a few, then dump our cases go for tea and get straight back on it. If I drive, straight to hotel, dump cases, cider out, tea, then go out and get wrecked.
Sam Jacks is alright - especially if you are hoping there might be a small chance you could get your top taken off by an anorexic geordie lass and whipped for the pleasure, whilst downing a test tube.
Last time we were down we went to Bamboo - didn't rate it that much though!

As said above the Gate is good. Fuck loads of bars around the city centre.
Your main clubs will be Digital, Liquid or Blu Bamboo. Liquid and Bamboo are full of dicks from what I remember. Digital was always my preference.

Decent places to go for food are Barluga on Grey Street, Shark Club opposite the stadium, Las Iguanas also on Grey Street etc.
Good bars are No.1 Grey Street, Shark Club, Bijoux, Perdu, Florita's etc.
Club wise- Tup Tup Palace, most of the diamond strip is open late, Riverside (bit student-y though).
The Gate is decent but anyone who is not from the area will come out of the Gate and walk straight down to the big market which is the worse place in Newcastle.
Avoid Blu Bamboo etc.
Quayside is nice. Pitcher and Piano is decent before you hit the louder clubs.

Pitcher and Piano is fucking expensive.
also LOL at referring to the Quayside as being studenty. As opposed to where!? Newcastle in general is a student city.

The club 'Riverside' is studenty. Not everyones scene. The Quayside itself is great. But i was talking about that club.

It used to be called Sea Nightclub. The guys who promote it are spot on. Its just not my thing.
Florita's knock out some great music till the early hours. My favourite club at the minute.

Basically watch Geordie shore and just go to them places :-:
Shark Club is a must and is right next to St James stadium, the Sandman Signature is next door and has a class window with flames and shit coming out of it
Don’t care what anyone says you have to go to Mushroom bar…..Pints of skittles
Diamond strip is the place to go this days though, Bijoux, Perdu, Florita's
Once finished here its either Liquid (I still thing is a decent night out) or down on the Quayside down to Riverside, or hang with any Celebs in Tup Tup
