View Full Version : Sudden increase in ASW people

Mochachino
7th February 2012, 14:50
Ive noticed alot of threads and members getting very ASW lately, some have always been, but other have turned that way recently.

Why is this?

Why do people feel the need to tell us information which isnt needed which has no meaning apart from to make people think more of them?

Why are people wanting to feel superior and better than the rest?

Why do people feel the need to be like "I could have done this or bought this, but I didnt" You didnt so why tell us? lol and they always have to justify their reason for how they are better than the rest, why do we need to know haha!

Going to make the first post on my thread to show you all how quick I am at replying etc.

But trying to show off and being an ASW show that what you have and what you are ASW about to you is very high and AMAZING. Funny thing is that this just shows your ignorance to how low down you actually are, many people on here will be like wtf why is he showing off about a 3k car when thats fuck all. But the person showing off obviously thinks its amazing and just makes himself look smaller than he actually is.

EG. my mate who is well off bought a car off my other mate for £1200, he then came to his group of mates and send, "I had my brother as a body guard because i had £1000 in cash on me HAHAHAHA" that was the most money he had seen in cash and thought it was amazing, he was trying to show off, but just made himself look an idiot lol

I agree! But even to mates if you are saying things to make you sound better.

IMO theres a difference between 'bragging - being really appreciative of what you got, had the chance to do' and 'showing off - just trying to make yourself sound good to get people to have a higher opinion of you at the same time as belittling other people'

Its also the fact the people showing off are showing off about normal things to everyone but trying to make them selfs sound better then the rest. This gives the impression they belive they are doing very well for themselfs and at a higher level than everyone. When everyone else is thinking, erm so what, thats normal, why are you showing off about this lol

I get your point on this thread as i seemed to think this site was about saxo's and 106's, or am i missing the point when it come to a merc and classic insirance???

Tom5190
7th February 2012, 15:16
In my experence people do it when they feel inadequate.

Im absolutly skint, well into my over draft, i live in a rented house im at uni and drive a saxo...... thats pretty much the definition of poor. I wont be driving a better car or living in my own house for at atleast 3-4 years most likely more than that and ontop of uni i usually have to work another 4-5 days a week to have enough money to run my car.

But at this point in time i love it, i dont understand what the obsession is with people tryin to show off how much money they have, the reality is people who do that dont actually have alot of money.

I read that thread and thought whats the point in getting a Loan to use a a deposit for a Mortgage. The reason banks stopped giving out 100% Mortgages, because people couldent afford to save up the deposit so couldent afford the repayments :s

weve done something like that :) ive not heard of them paying your deposit though, but we used a first time buyer scheme.
its totally different to what people think, i hated the idea first aswell.
the good thing about it is a smaller deposit, and you can get more house than you can get a mortgage for, so we have a 3 bed instead of 2 :D
you only pay back the interest on what youve borrowed after 5 years, and it will only be £51 a month for us.
they only take the money back once you sell and if we sell and it goes for less they only take back 20% of that value, not 20% of what we bought it for.
we plan to either sell or re mortgage before the 5 years, but if we dont £51 a month isnt the end of the world.

I think it varies where you live to be honest because this kind of shared ownership is with quite a lot of different companies.

I looked into it a few years ago and what i was offered was 70% ownership and the company owns the other 30% which you pay back over ten years whenever you want(as an interest free loan)You would have paid no deposit at all.

Now the same company offer the same deal but you have to pay back the 30% as rent every month and a 5% deposit is needed, pointless really

Cos we have nothing constructive to talk about we make threads about pointless crap that most people dont even care about, hoping lots of people will comment to boost our egos and make us think we are popular and that people like to talk to us,If someone wants attention on here, let them have it, its not there fault they live sheltered lives and have posted 5000 times on this forum and have achieved the status of 'saxo pro' or whatever
