bought all the stuff to lower car as i have 6 weeks off now, soaked the seized torsion bar in 3 different 'Anti-seize oils' and still was having none of it, looks really clean though.

So i thought id do the fronts and let the rear to soak, tried to undo the stacked hub nut on the front, used brute force aswell as pushing down on my foot, and the 1/2 thick inch extension bar snapped in half!!! then the rachet mechanism fell out and snapped !!!!

give up going to get a garage to do it when i can efford it fuck it specialy in this heat its unbearable :rage:

Ok don't use a socket and extension bar as the join isn't strong enough.... you should always use a forged bar with a fixed head to undo nuts that require so much force... I believe a hub nut thats been on for a few years takes around 250nm of force to release it... an alloy socket will only withstand around 150-200nm.... its all about having the right tools for the job and by "right" I mean not cheap

lol yer exactly so il just take it to a garage LOL i was jumping up and down on the bar so im not so suprised it snapped i guess but was like ahh its realease when it started moving them i realised it wasnt the bolt atall it was the bat bending and snapping LMAO
