I've had a search on here but not found any problem the same
A week or two ago, my '02 VTR started shaking like made when trying to pull away in first or reverse. I thought it could be a warped pressure plate at first due to the cold weather and me generally giving it the beans when going to work.
As of yesterday every time the clutch is depressed (in gear or neutral) it screeches like mad, but almost goes away completely when the clutch is up. The noise goes completely if I actually lift the clutch pedal up further than where it normally sits.
Seems to me like clutch release bearing but wanted some opinions. Rather not have a whole new clutch as mine still pulls well in all gears, can pull off in 3rd no problem if I wanted, and doesn't seem to slip (and I'm skint as fook! :n: )
Ideas, costs and if I could do it myself? ...
