After not being able to find a saxo that I actually wanted I decided to go for this golf
7 months mot
1 month tax
104k
Lowered 30mm
Stainless exhaust system
PIAA headlight bulbs
Boost gauge
Not a bad price at £1450 (down from £1950)
Unfortunately previous owner had covered it in carbon wrap
This is already been removed by myself but didn't take any photos today
Excuse the shit photos they are off the advert

Get yourself on Edition38 for some inspiration.
Looks like it could be nice with a bit of work.

Will this be the 150bhp one then at that year?
Seems a bit expensive... but it is reasonably low mileage I suppose.

£1450 @ 104k is very reasonable imo. Especially a 20vt in Jazz Blue.
Some Golfs these days are twice as expensive with loads more miles.

I thought if was dirt cheap tbh with that mileage in that colour
My friend has a black 3 door one with the 210 remap and set up and it shifts
Car is in the garage today getting new brakes/gear linkages and having a little check up
So I will get some better pictures soon

I forgot you pay a premium for living daaarn saaaarf!
They're all priced around the £1200 mark round here that's all, but they are clocking 110k.
Plans sound good! But please don't go for Audi reps on the corners...

I would like some dish wheels
But also like the rs4 and rs6 wheels but then there is also r32 wheels
I don't want it to look to much like a r32 just got rid of the badges that was on it
Profit whats you're thoughts on coilovers for this as there seems to be alot out there for £200 which is very cheap but both my friends run them on there golfs and they seem fine and no problems,
Am I better off getting a well known brand or just get the cheap ones ??

Its honestly down to you mate. Obviously the more expensive ones / better brand names are going to be better than the budget JOM £200 ones.
Although, I have a set of £200 coilovers on my bmw m sport and they are perfect for what I want and was perfect for my budget :)
If your budget can strech and you're okay with spending £500 - £600 on a set of coilovers...do it.
If your budget cant stretch that far, the JOMs for £200 are great. Great value for money.

Yeah I think I may just get the cheap ones
As I could get nearly everything on my list minus the wheels for the price of gaz coilovers
But I will have a proper think closer to the time
Thanks

Prob 50-60 not to much
But you need adjustable drop links past 45/50mm iirc

Ye past 45mm you need either adjustable drop links or a uprated ARB.
Most people cut the ARB off, which means no droplnks and cheap fix.
JOM coilovers are well known for their lowness, check my BMW out. JOM coilovers and im running low with loads of threads left on the strut :y:

A update for nothing really
All my money has gone on stupid things at the moment
Both window regulators failed on me in 2 days and had to have them done by a garage so cost a bomb
Also my interior electrics all lights/sunroof/central locking went so had that sorted then had 2 punctures in space of 1 week
Sold the forge diverter valve as wasn't for me I prefer the standard chatter
Just bought some rear handles and locks to de-lock the front and also may have some black rs4 alloys to go on soon (my friends just bought a Quattro and doesn't want them) will be refurbed in a light grey colour
Other than that it's booked in for a full service next week and all belt changes
Then it will be treated to a set of silicone boost and throttle intake pipes
