View Full Version : ARB bushes?

Do these make much difference to the handling if they are worn? the reason I ask is because i'm having handling problems and I checked my wishbones and both wishbone bushes seem very solid. I'm getting a knocking noise under my feet when going over bumps and the ARB bushes are the only thing I can find that are a bit 'squishy' don't know if they are supposed to be like that but they had quite a bit of movement.
Edit: thought I would add a little more detail about my problem. Could bad anti roll bar bushes cause the car to pull to the right? say if one bush was more worn than the other?
Thanks,
Ben

they shouldnt make any difference. try disconnecting the drop links and giving it a short test, if the knocking is still there you can rule them out

Can't really imagine it being a good idea driving round without the droplinks attached to the ARB?

it would be fine for a quick road test. 1.0/1.1s dont even have droplinks. infact some dont even have arb

Will be giving that a try then, will save me buying a new set of ARB bushes if it isn't actually them causing the knocking.

ended up just going for some powerflex bushes and swapping them over, got rid of the knocking noise under my feet and firmed it up in the bends so i'm happy with it for now :) the cars still pulling slightly but I did notice a dragging noise when the window was open so i'm hoping its just a sticky caliper
