i have had my car checked out by kwik fit and they say that my lower arm (wishbones they said they were called to) have slight play in them.
when im going over a speed bump or a bad bump in the road i hear like a creek noise from the front, could it be the wishbones like they said??
i dont want to be paying £220 for nothing if it wont fix the problem, cheers

£220! holy shizzle. Kwik Fit really are a menace.
More than possible that it is the wishbones but that is some serious money they want for a relatively easy repair. Or even better still, fit them yourself and saves loaddddds :)

£220!? They are like £80 for the pair....so they want £140 to fit!? lmao honestly go somewhere else. If you got abit of know how and some tools to do the job then do it yourself mate, not that hard.
You'll need a torque wrench that goes to 200Nm, 30mm socket couple of smaller sockets, a big bar to get the ball joint out and a hammer

you don't need to undo the driveshaft nut to change wishbones

mate you deserve to be robbed if you go to kwik fit for anything other than tryes. iirc most of them are not even proper qulaified mechanics.
define slight play?
everyones slight is different.- for example it could just be the movement in the tyre (wouldn't put it past shit fit.) and they are trying to fob you off.
where abouts are you?
£220 shit wouldn't even be that much where i work and the boss is a bit of a rob dog. at £50 per hour. should cost no more than £75 (1.5 hours) maxx plus say £100 for the parts so £175 max i would have thought.

Do it yourself, need 13mm for arb bolts (make sure you get some more as they will break), 17 and 18 mm for the rest. Hardest part is getting the carpet out of the way
