Finally got round to doing a bit of work to the car today, changed the gearbox oil to see if it will losing up the gear change stiffness.

Also got the car de-wipered looks far better IMO!!

I personally would +1 the spoiler, but it's your car not mine! The little details are the ones though, the de-wipering makes a massive difference!

Few updates :)

Painted the rear drums and my wiper arms today, wiper arms didn't come out the best so they will be sanded down and sprayed in the future

Also bought some VTR alloys to paint white, all are perfect, no curbing etc. £30 ain't to bad just need to get them wrapped in some decent tyres..

Got a few bits done on the car yesterday...

Fitted my sub, amp and started sorting out the false floor. Came to a problem with the amp over heating last night so fitted 2 Computer fans under the false floor.

Thanks mate, yeah ano the front hasn't budged. Had my mechanic look at it he said that everything has been put it correct so hopefully it just need to set! I'm not to sure on the tints either. Takes that 'fresh' look that I was looking for away so I'll just have to wait and see :y:

Looking at 60mm :p yeah I'm not going with the tints no more lol! Trying to get a show cage over in Northern Ireland is like hens teeth atm or else their looking stupid prices for them. Keeping it with no spoiler or else a mk2 one but I like the non spoiler look :)

Gonna keep these springs for a bit, the whole kit cost me £240 so I wanna get the use outa it lol! To me Mk1 spoilers are racier looking and mk2's are sleeker looking if that helps?

Painting the bump strips in the future, need a new front bumper as this one is cracked and the back bumper needs a respray as it has been scraped at some point in its life... Gonna do the fogs soon but not sure on smoking the headlights on a mk1 :wacko:

Quite a few things/purchases have been done to the saxo over the weekend. Got my ABC pillars wrapped in black vinyl and the black roof lining is in. Also bought an 2003 1.4 middle section that will de-cat and silence my exhaust :D and got a new amp so hopefully it wont over heat like my other one did. Pictures to follow tomorrow

On Monday decided to change my N/S driveshaft for the second time :n: Went to fit the new one to discover that it was far to big and completely different to my old one, this is after sending it back as they sent me the wrong one previously :wall:

Done it myself mate, took 10min to do then just had to wait for it to dry. Its soo easy lol.

Yeah I think they suit the car so well and I haven't seen too many about with the white ones (on a saxo anyway)

Once the wheels are on I will decide how low, as I'm going to be getting 15-25mm hub centric spacers all round for a bit of poke

Well the car is running again after tidying up the engine bay abit. I have stopped doing work on the engine bay as I'm looking at 16v in the future so its a bit pointless tidying it up with an engine in the way...

Back onto tidying up the exterior, few things need resprayed/replaced. Heres my list so far
-Replace front bumper
-Replace O/S Quarter Panel
-Replace Grill (Have one in silver so I'll just spray it)
-Spray back bumper (Few scratches to the side of it)
-Get the trim that runs underneath the window)
-Smooth Boot

Interior is pretty mush as I want it just need some vtr door cards and that it done :)

And last but not least get the front down 60mm as my 40mm springs didn't change the height as its a 1.4 :(

Very little has been done to the car, currently tidying up small bits and getting what I can afford. Front end is just waiting on a front bumper and 2 new headlights as mine are broke lol.

Will hopefully be picking up a vts engine, ecu and loom soon. Going to strip it down and rebuild with possible turbo if funds allow :)

Shocks have already been done, got a -40mm kit a few months back but looking at replacing with -60mm springs so possibly another set of shocks aswell :y: but I will be attending to a few other bits and pieces first as I need a bit of welding done and a new windscreen :(

The boot floor looks worse than it is the only rot is the lip just above the exhaust tip and where the toe eye is welded on... More serious rust is just behind the front jacking points. Will hopefully be get this fixed in the next few weeks as I got a new job :)

Also go the vinyl on the door pillars replaced looks far cleaner :afro:

Also got a replacement rear quarter panel as mine was scratched so that will be put on tonight. Got a boot for free so going to see about getting it welded and smoothed to make the plate recess smaller like in my photoshops :)

Picking up a front bumper from CJMackin on here on sunday/monday so should be back on the road by the end of the month :D rear quarter panel is changed so not more scratched lol. Also ordering 60mm springs at the end of the month to get the front down

Seeing all the cars at the show has made me want to get my finger out and start sorting the rest of the car out so some BIG updates soon

The plans for this upcoming weekend are as follows

-Replace both driveshafts
-Replace both top mounts
-Re-install inner arches (all my clips had broke)
-Put -60mm springs in
-Fit OMP lower strut brace
-Replace horn (mine is fudged)
-Windscreen gets replaced on Sunday night
-Put new grill on
-Put new mirrors on with posi caps

Just have to get a posi front bumper then I can start to my other plans with the exterior

Opinions so far? Good or bad :)

Didn't get everything done that I wanted to, Driveshafts were the wrong ones so my new ones should be here tomorrow. Had to order inner arch clips from citroen so I'm waiting on those and the lower strut brace is getting done when my new driveshafts come. Also I fitted 20mm spacers to the front :D

i dont see why you would pay £40 on top of the bumper you already have for a 2nd hand posi bumper.
a body shop would probably only charge £60 to sand it, mask it and spray it. then you would have a posi bumper in perfect condition!
