Right my vtr has some play in the rear trailing arm as you may have read in my other thread.

Anyway, I'm going to replace the bearings if the stub pins are good when I have the arms off BUT if they are bad I have a 1.1 drum axle thats in very good condition with no play. What I was thinking is I could use the trailing arms from my vtr with the 1.1 rear beam which would enable me to keep my discs and I know the stub pins are good on that. would that fit ok? obviously i'd fit the new bearings to my vtr trailing arms then use the 1.1 beam to put them back on.

I'm pretty sure this would make a good beam just checking with you lot? cheers :D

Ah yeah never thought about that, will swap that too. Gotta be worth a go anyway even if it doesn't last its alot cheaper than a refurbed beam as I don't really wana spend that much on the car as i'm hoping to swap it late this year/early next year anyway
