theres no way in hell the system smashed the back window. Absolutely no way.
Either the window was ready to break or what the glass guy said is correct, why would he lie to you?

I agree unless you have a MTX JACKHAMMER lol
The guy wouldnt lie as its not like he is making money out of lieing to you or selling you anything

Its true mate, heater parts more likely. I had the same thign happen to me about a month back. Had the heated rear window on on the way back form a mates house the night before (bout an 20 min drive) parked up at home, locked up, then about 15 mins later my alarm went off, looked outside..... nothing, reset it and went back to bed. Next mornign went out to the car, walked round the back to put stuff in the boot and the glass was shattered, still in place but completely cracked. There were no holes, chips or glass inside to suggest a stone or break in so i I reckon the heated rear window was faulty or something and just overheated way past what it usualy should get up to. Bloody annoying tho, cost me 60 quid :(

Rear windows breaking are quite common in this heat. I know a few thats done it over the years.
A system will have to push serious power out to break a window.
Do yourself a favour and get rid of the 6x9s any way and get some dent speakers in the front of the car. It will sound loads better!

it's been a case of some one walking past, seen that you've been taking down the horrible road of 6x9's:wall: :wall: :wall: and did some of that on your back window, try read up about 6x9's theres plenty of threads

it may have been where the rear glass had previously been taken out and put back in or one of the terminals came off and someone tried to solder it back on. thirdly any toughened glass can just explode due to heat or even the tiniest of stones coming up and hitting it, you may think how the how can a stone hit the rear???? well when a car/van/bus/lorry goes past at speed they pick up stones and fling them everywhere and boom! the glass has exploded, this happens on all the door glass' and boots. Im not an auto glass guy, im a RAC autowindscreens guy :)
