Hi guys got a week off soon and planning to strip the full dash out and clean up the 4 years woth of crappy wire bodged and sqwashed behind the dash giving me room and perfectely lay and install a viper remoe start system. Whith it full removed i can tidy it all up and tie it all in a loom nice and neat and easy access. However i only have a week but how hard is it to remove the dash and refit? and this might sound like a real dast question but can you operate a car legally without a dash, in case i needed desperately during the clean up?

Thanks guys

Pretty easy tbf just a few odd bolts here and there but youll figure it out, pretty sure its perfectly legal to drive without one, you can plug the gauges back in and tie them to the steering support

once steering wheel is off its fairly simple to take out. bolts either side of doors, then take scuttle off to undo the 3 bolts under bonnet and pretty much comes out.

Undo the torq nuts on the scuttle and remove it.

Undo the 10 mm nuts that you can see in the scuttle tray.

Undo the 13mm Bolts, one at each side of the dash near the earths on the A pillars.

Undo the Bolt in the middle under the center console.

Undo the torq's holding the center console in and remove the plugs.

Undo the torq bolt holding the heater in.

Undo steering wheel, dials etc with torq keys.

Undo 3 13mm bolts on the steering column.

Undo the two loom plugs under the glovebox.

Thanks for that its the bit in red that conserns me though does the whole steering column have to come out? or just the steerin wheel because if its just the steering wheel im fine with that.
