Maybe some sort of alcohol wipe? Have actually you tried white spirit yet?

the short answer is... you can't there will always be remains of it on the plastics which is a pain if your planning on colour coding as the paint won't stick.

thats exactly what im doing but gloss black just wanted to get some of it out i might try the white spirit first if not maybe lighter fluid ?

Good point, it has silicone in it which does not mix with paint! (ask any bodywork man.)

wont you be rubbing down the plastics with sandpaper before you paint them? surely that would remove the back to black anyway?

tell me about it what a mess the only thing that turned out ok was the splitter, the rear bumper was terrible ive sanded all the paint off and re-primed it hopefully the paint will take, im going to leave the other bump strip since the first one didnt come out the best. i reckon il be down the bodyshop in the morning getting a quote on having the bumpstrips done, im just hoping it wont be to much money.
