I have the Alpine 9855r, it's the mutts nutts for everything. Well worth it, plus you can get a proper connector for the ipod so you can control it through the headunit. Well worth it :Y:

top head unit mate, but the thing is with the 9855r, they have shed loads of features the averange person won't ever use, so your paying for stuff you don't need

my budget is about £200 i'd say. my system surrently consists of a standard saxo setup. i was planning on some better door speakers and then maybe an amp/sub

i was considering the alpine 9850Ri...

I have seen loads of people in the past spend loads of money on headunits and next to nothing on the rest of the system. Waste of money spending silly money on a headunit if your never going need/use/know how to use features. I personally in your situation would go for one of the £130-150 headunits with ipod conector packs and put the rest of the money towards better speakers/amps.

ye simple cable mate with the ipod connection on the end, the cable comes out from the passenger footwell and u can put the wire down to the bottom of the centre console so it looks tidy and then the ipod can sit anywhere the cable will reach its up2 you, mines in the hole infront of the gearstick, sitting in there :)
