People lost lives of course it will be international news. Just wouldnt have expected such ignorance on the issue after getting shit from members over recent events.

Ohh its not ignorance, its mostly innocent people lose their lives each day, but they don't get 1 bit of media attention because the main factors ain't interesting enough.

Because its the Western world and middle/higher class people were involved, it gets blasted all over the tabloids. Media, weather they can make someone a Hero or Villain will post the story more. Look at the accident in New York a few years back, Captain was a hero according to the media, but since it was proved he turned off the wrong engine? Incompetence. Media never jumped on this.

Edit; Don't take that in a cuntish way, just a thought.. I do agree its a tragic loss etc. But it happens everyday..
