Last leap year I was working in Blackpool and the only guy in the office had a long term gf with two kids. He was shitting himself for days prior to 29th thinking that she would pop the question.

So we called a local radio station, got them to ring him up saying that his gf had a question to ask him.

He was like 'no, I can't speak to her'
radio man said 'why? do you know what its about?'
guy: 'its Feb 29th.... I can't speak to her...'

Luckily she never heard it and all our cackling in the background eventually gave the game away. Was such a good prank though.
