I'm not sure if this should go in this section so admins please move to appropriate section if not.

My piranhas have settle into their new tank now so I was trying to take some pictures but they just wouldn't keep still. Instead I started messing around taking pictures then adding effects and as most of you guys are into photography thought some of you may appreciate some of the end results.

All photos were taken on my 4S then edited with the Photoshop app. I'm not a photographer but thought they looked pretty cool... :p

Lol. No mate, I don't feed them live food because there is a risk of adding disease, parasites etc to the tank that would kill all the fish. They come from the Amazon in South America so they're tropical fish.

So far there's only 4 in there. I wanted around 8 but for that I'd need something like a 160 gallon tank. Lol

Nice :) any pictures of the whole tank?

I've read into them, never really fancied keeping them though as fowk say they are pretty idle fish. Ie particularly when they're bigger they dont move around much.

They come up for sale somewhat regularly on aquaristclassifieds as fowk get bored of them

My uncle had 6 of these. Fully grown, they started to attack each other. Some had missing eye's, some had missing fins..

Until there was 1 survivor left.. the battle of the fittest.. Then that 1 died too because of it's injury's.

Cool story bro, Iknow.

At the moment they're still skittish and will hide if anyone goes near the tank. But when it's clear they're all over the place, swimming up the front of the glass.

Common problem with piranhas. I'm guessing as they started to attack each other their tank was either too small and they were fighting for room or they were under fed. Keeping them in groups of 4+ as well as giving them as much room as possible and keeping them well fed will minimize the aggression within the shoal.

True story. ;)

Ill get some better ones when I get the chance, he built an extension to house the pumping system for it and in the extension it has another 12ft tank.

Started off with tropical fish but then changed it to marine fish

Yes Pacu. Related to the Piranha.
Google Arapaima Arapaima I had one of these for a while. Around 4-6 months. Rare fish, but ultimately too big for me. Completely nutty too!

At the moment I have an assortment of American and African cichlids. My fave pros being my Green Terror (Aequidens Rivulatus) and my Vieja Argentea.

You name it And there's quite a good chance I've kept it or know about it :-)

I'll try and get some up when I get a chance mate. Can't during the day because you get a reflection from the window.

wow. That is absolutely amazing.

We're looking at a 500+ ltr tank but it's difficult finding off the shelf items, so to speak, For those of you with big tanks, how did you acquire them? Were they custom made?
