Brake peddle juddering

When i apply the brakes on my mk1 vtr the peddle seems to vibrate but very slowly if that makes sence? It feels like the abs is kicking in very early?

Also how do you check if i have abs as it was a optional extra on a vtr?

Look at your driveshaft's.. If they have teeth on the end.. near to where it meet's the hub..Then it's got abs.

(obviously if all the abs sensors/wiring are there and not just had a pair of abs shafts put on)

I'd say warped discs. I've not known a VTR with abs tbh.

Some mk2 VTRs had ABS, I believe it was an option.
