Morning All,
As some of you may know (or may not) I'm a Sheffield Wednesday fan and its been a pretty strange week been an Owls fan. Currently 3rd in the league, we beat our City and promotion rivals Sheff United on Sunday and by Wednesday (how ironic) our manager Garry Megson has been sacked. Only the other week Lee Clark was sacked by Huddersfield who are 4th in the league in what is a very tough league one this year.
I find it very sad that a manager can be doing very well with a team and still get sacked.

Didn't he have a bust up with Milan mandaric a week ago?
Lee Clark got the sack for spending and not securing promotion.

lee clark has had close to 4 seasons, with the backing of the chairmans wallet, from what i've seen the chairman didn't think he could handle the pressure of the play offs.
with megson, read that he and the chairman had had words due to the chairman talking to other managers about replacing megson.
think both seem a bit strange when it comes to the timing of the sacking, along with mcarthy from wolves, hardly any time to get a new manager in and no transfer window to try and make any difference to the team.
think the main difference is that megson has hardly had anytime to sort the team out after taking over.

Your correct on both counts I think there enthorne. There are rumoiurs of a falling out between the two, however still think with so little time left in the season you could have grinded and bared it and got through to the summer and taken it from there. There's a chap called Paul Aldridge in the board room who's job it is to secure player signings and contracts, looks like he's gone against what Megson has wanted on a couple of occasions and that may have sparked a rift. Think Leicester City fans may know a little about that sort of thing as well apparently.
Lee Clark has had a lot of money from the Chairman over the last few seasons, they were tipped as Champions at the start of the year.
