May have been asked before....BUUUUTTTT

Anyway a friend told me that he lowered 35 at the front on springs and either 30/40 on the back without any new shocks or anything just standard, he said he had it for 2 years and it was all fine, whats your opinion? is it safe?

and he said he didnt know if it was 30 or 40 on the rear, what sounds correct? whats a good set up? 35 on front with .. on the back?

cheers

upto 40 mm is ok on standard shocks. anything over that and they will seriously reduce the service life.

i recon 50mm all round.
but i like the even gap in the arches so i'll be going 50mm front and 40-45mm on the rear (the rear is 10mm higher as standard)

Usually to get it level you go 5mm lower at rear than front. 35mm front 40mm rear

i had my car lowered 35mm front, 40mm rear when i first had it. Was on eibach springs and standard shocks all round. Felt fine. Was very comfortable as the eibach springs have a similar spring rate to standards so work quite well with standard shocks.
