Saw this on the C2 forum thought it was interesting, Read and sign? :A:

Note part about his fuel prices and job is him or was copied from a previous site isn't me ;)

We know petrol prices are getting a bit much recently,

For someone like myself who does 60 miles to work and back per day it really hits you hard on the pocket and this is before you have even Kicked a ball in the park and took your kid to nursery or went the family shopping,

My yearly fuel bill just for work is around £2500 per year which is alot of of my 22k Salary

I would like for some poeple to have a read at this article on the daily mail
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti....html#comments

Fuel costs is partly what destory's our days out and meets as some of us enthusiasts dont have the cash to spend to go to national days and meets due to the lengh you need to drive, Yes we'd all like to go and part of it comes down to the cost of fuel

A couple of little facts from the Article Above

We pay 71.1P on Fuel duty and Vat, the Average litre of unleaded is wthout fuel Duty is 53p, So every litre we put in at the cost it is the now we should be getting 1litre extra plus a little bit more in our tanks, Now I know we do need to pay tax due to emissions and other stuff

Every time Fuel duty goes up by 3p or 4p we also get taxed on the 20% vat for this, so when you take a step back and look we are taxed twice

all I ask is that you please Sign this E-petition to make the Goverment relise how many of us are effected by this

http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/347

Also if you could link it on your Facebook and share with other forums I would highly apprecaite this, Costs of fuel will destroy modifying and car clubs eventually if it does keep continuing to rise!

Do you really think the Government are going to look at a survey and think, 'hmmm there are a lot of Saxo and C2 owners out there who aren't happy with fuel prices, we had better reduce them ...' ?

No

If the whole of the uk stopped buying fuel until something was done - it would come down in time. But on the other hand, people won't and can't afford to.

Wouldn't really admit that on a public forum

Nothing will change because no one is bothered looking at the responses. In Nigeria the whole country went on strike. They reduced the price after 1 week.

Erm about 144,610 people...

I'm not even going to consider reading the first post. Nothing will change it.

Don't bother commenting then?

No

Just because it has been posted on the C2 and Saxo owners forums doesn't mean that is what the survey is about. It doesn't mention either car or owners club on the petition.

I Have signed, personally don't think it will do anything but I have nothing to lose by signing it so why not.

They do yes, if an Epetition reaches 100,000 or more signatures, it must be debated in the house of commons :y:

Signed.
