Tiger-sealing VTR spoiler onto boot

Can anyone who has done this before help me,

I have a 1.1 obviously with no spoiler, but the VTR has two holes through the boot glass where the spoiler is attached, I have bought a VTR spoiler from a scrappy and was wondering if Tiger Seal really could attach it securely, a mate of mine said it does work, but another mate said it didn't, can anyone clarify if it does / doesn't?

Tiger seal is the don of stick.

Ive heard mixed reviews about tigerseal, most good. i would give it a go myself if it was needed. itl work providing you clean the boot lid correctly before application.

Won't stick to glass without sanding a texture into the glass first to give it something to grip to.
