it's not finished, couldnt find a v6 106 on youtube, so here's a 306 gti-6 supercharged

yeah, I know this 306, a little dream of me ;)

would like to see more pictures of that 106, steering, gearbox and so on *g*

Bet it handles well....Love how he couldn't be arsed to sort out a driving mechanism also that bar replacing the slam panel...how much rigidty does that realllly give....my guess fuck all!

xscottxx
6th March 2012, 19:07
the 106 looks somehow less safe than a standard one. i've crashed a 106, and never thought those words would come out of my mouth.

Zacs gti-6 is a BEAST! 400+ bhp and i think he was stripping it out last time i heard.

V6 gti would be a bit of a handful im guessing?

This tbh. Before you even begin to look at the pictures closely, the description isnt anywhere near good. Then you notice that bodged slam panel and it keeps going downhill. Fair play for having a go at it though!

A mate of mine wants to buy he him and a few others want to get it runnin and on the road, but the front will be too heavy and it will understeer like a bitch haha

xscottxx
6th March 2012, 19:20
i don't understand people who go "i want more power...i know, v6!"

it's TOO HEAVY. that's why small cars don't come with v6's, except the clio, and that was more renaultsport going "like fuck we can't make a v6 clio, watch this"

sammys
6th March 2012, 19:22
nah, the V6 block is lighter than a XU10, but the rest is heavy... gearbox as a example!

they come part and parcel. either way nailing it on a windy b road will get you business class into the nearest tree.

i like superchargers and small engines. love that whine

6th March 2012, 19:52
pug v6 isn't that heavy tbh, handling problems come from the fact that the front bank of cylinders are stuck right out front, way over the centre line of the front wheels. thats why i'm having second thoughts on the c2v6

xscottxx
6th March 2012, 19:54
take a polo gti engine and supercharge it. well take the lupo gti variant anyway.

who says you have to stick to one manufacturer?

Scott_Sz
6th March 2012, 19:55
As a general rule of thumb I would never buy a car with spelling mistakes in the advert. Seems the type to blag it on the insurance and keep the original engine on the V5. Apologies for the blatant prejudice.

Thought you were referring to a Citroen 2CV V6 then I re read the post.

did the same and had to double take.

there is a 2cv around where i live which is badged up as "2CV6", no idea if this was a factory variant but i have my suspicions that it does infact not have a v6.

bedford tk 330 straight 6 diesel into a scrap rolls royce was enough of a challenge without putting a 190bhp v6 into a tin snail lol

yes it could if you just want to go in straight lines or sit outside maccy-d's revving it up. Otherwise its going to end in tears, the car is a tree magnet that looks as though it will collapse. Seriously hope he's done something with the outer cv joints as they are just going to go pop on a very regular basis

That slam panel looks...safe?

plus, the V6 clio was mid engined rear wheel drive, so a completely different beast!

7th March 2012, 12:50
What a stupid idea, only a matter of time before they take a corner to fast and end up wrapped around a tree.

Piss poor advert as usual, now wonder people never sell things.

iluminusbutterfly
7th March 2012, 23:53
I'm confused why everyone is jumping on the slam panel bandwagon, I have seen countless build threads on here where people have cut out the centre bit as apart from crash protection that middle bit doesn't reall do much apart from add weight infront of the wheels....

For the record i would drive it, could be fun in a straight line, and I bet it lift off overseers well, yeah handling will be compromised but guess what, on the road that's not everything

MiniGibbo
8th March 2012, 07:31
Surely is aids in stopping the wings falling apart?

iluminusbutterfly
8th March 2012, 23:22
Not really no, there's not much sideways force in a wing, maybe vibration and a little bit of air pressure but so minor the actual inner wing would easily be strong enough so that cross member he's added would be plenty good enough

wolf_gsxr
9th March 2012, 00:33
half the engine is past the slam pannel (or at least were the pannel should be) if your gonna put a v6 in such a small car, do it properly and put it where the back seats should go.

Jungle
9th March 2012, 10:31
I don't see the point, you can get more power for less effort, and without ruining the handling

How Ironic, in response to me saying it is pointless as it on't perform, you brought up the sound, and now your trying to flip it back on me insinuating that turbo cars are for showing off to the badmanz? :clapping:

Would be interesting trying push on in that.

3.0 V6 in a Corsa dosn't even sit that far forward.

There is one for sale on the gti6 forum for around 6.5k

It's the original one that was used as a text bed to develop the conversion

Search for rich w he built the car

MiniGibbo
11th March 2012, 16:51
is there a build thread for it, the guy selling it hasnt started many threads?

Dont understand why 306's are so cheap id love to replace the 205 with a 306 rallye

swampy
11th March 2012, 17:07
The guy selling it didn't build it

As said above ites built by a guy who goes on the forum by the name of rich w

Plenty of threads about the car on the forum

MiniGibbo
11th March 2012, 17:14
Searched his posts but couldnt see one, only a thread on him selling it..

Either way out of my price range, if i come to buy one ill be looking at 2-2.5k for a cherry red one.
