What if it's a private seller? I don't get it, do Ebay pay for the £5 for the seller?

The private seller has to "Cash in" the voucher code before the deadline and PayPal transfer it over as cash, If the seller for some reason doesn't cash them in before the deadline then the buyer is responsible for the payment.

Okay so eBay have changed the way coupons work. PayPal now debits your account with the amount used with the voucher the payment then comes out from your PayPal account. A better way of doing it really.

I dont understand how people have had to go through with the purchase? I just entered the voucher code, it said somrthing like 'its expired' or whatever, just go to your basket, change the quantity of each item to 0 and it removes them.

No purchase needed :)
