Okay so i unlocked the car and the central locking started to 'click' so i decided to disconnect the central locking unit to have a look. Finding nothing wrong i tried to start the car and..... nothing didnt start! now panicing and thinking something is seriously wrong i decided to check each and every fuse.
Again nothing! :wall: now really panicing i rechecked everything i could and still the car wouldnt start so i turned the lights on. nope that didnt work! then finally i thought ahh the battery! and there it was staring me in the face i had messed around with the car and disconnected the battery the day before! :clapping:
so the moral of the story is if you have a problem with your cars electics check the battery! or remember to connect it when your done so you dont run out of juice DOH!

Always look for the simple causes to problems before taking everything apart ;)
Q: How did you get the central locking to click (let alone work) with no battery connected (does the CL unit store a charge)?

Nah sorry should of been more clear the battery wasnt connected completely (positive was loose) :wall: however in my blind panic i did take the battery completely off to stop the clicking and it kept going! so i would imagine that it does... somehow:y:
OK wasn't aware of that - ta :y:
