Just had to change the front passenger side tyre, it was definitely illegal. The outer edge was COMPLETELY bald. The inside was fine, and towards the centre had more tread. All other tyres are fine.

Could i be the tracking was out? i know it was a little bit under inflated but could the tracking be out? it does seem to pull very slightly to the left on occasions, not constantly.

overinflated tyres normally has more wear in the centre of the tyre
underinflated normally has more wear on the outers and you can feel more resistance when turning the wheel...

best bet is it take it to your local garage (national tyres etc) and they check it for free... and its a small charge to adjust.. or if your doing it yourself if i recall its -2 Degrees front equal back

as for pulling to the left, could be the camber of the road unless you know its 100% flat which i doubt anywhere is

Yeah i was thinking it might have been under inflated, as its needed topping up with iar a fiar bit recently.

Just come from a garage that do free checks for geomitry and alignment but they were absolutely packed so didn't bother. I'll get it checked and adjusted after pay day :y:

Would you say the reason it was so worn was down to the air or the tracking?
